Since the news of his demise circulated, Brad William Henke’s cause of death is what his fans are curious to know.

Brad William Henke, who played defensive end for the NFL before switching to acting, has passed away. He was 56 at the time of His death.

Henke’s manager, Matt Delpiano, said, ‘Henke was an exceptionally lovely man with exuberant energy’ in a statement to TMZ on December 1st. ‘He was a tremendously gifted actor who liked to be a part of this community, and we reciprocated his affection. We are praying for his wife and family.’

‘Henke passed away on Tuesday while sleeping,’ according to his agent Sheree Cohen, who spoke with The Hollywood Reporter. Brad William Henke’s cause of death is not made public yet.

Sonja, his wife, stepson Aaden, stepsister Leasa, and grandchild Amirah are Henke’s surviving family members.

Thanks to Rod Martin, a former NFL player, he got his start as a commercial actor.

Henke told the Tucson Citizen in 1998, ‘Rod stated there was a need for actors to play football players for commercials, so I tried out for it and got one for Pizza Hut. A person there invited me to take an acting lesson while I was there. When I got there, it dawned on me that this was what I wanted to do.’

In seasons four and five of Orange is the new black on Netflix, he portrayed prison guard Desi Piscatella.

Henke was one of the show’s co-stars that received the 2016 Screen Actors Guild Award for outstanding cast in a comedy.

Henke told THR that ‘it was such a gift and an honor to play the villain after his character was killed off at the end of the fifth season.’

‘I truly enjoy the work since the performers were amazing to work with and the character was fantastic, complex, and layered,’ he continued. ‘It’s one of the most unique professions I’ve ever had.’

He had a successful career. He received numerous credits, including recurring roles on shows including Nash Bridges, Judging Amy, Dexter, and The Bridge, as well as a regular series role on the ABC drama October Road.

He also made guest appearances on ER, Law & Order, Shameless, and The Office, among other well-known programs.
