Bray Wyatt Reacts To Brodie Lee Showing Up In AEW

Publish date: 2024-06-20

WWE might refuse to acknowledge AEW's existence 99% of the time, but clearly some of its Superstars are keeping a close eye on the competition.

Despite the hindrance that is having to perform in front of zero fans, AEW managed to put on a terrific episode of Dynamite this week. It certainly did a better job than WWE managed to do with SmackDown and Raw last week, and this Friday's SmackDown for that matter too.

The wrestlers surrounding the ring, the darkening of the stands, the inclusion of two huge surprises despite the obstacles in the way. Well done to everyone involved. Meanwhile, WWE scrapped this week's NXT with very little mention of its plans to do so before the show went on the air. Needless to say, the ratings reflected those respective decisions in a major way this week.

As for Dynamite's best moment, that's a two-way tie if you ask us. The reveal of Matt Hardy at the end of the show was huge, but so was Brodie Lee unveiling himself to the world as The Dark Order's Exalted One. The man formerly known as Luke Harper has finished up his 90-day non-compete clause following his release from WWE and can now wrestle wherever he likes.

Although most WWE employees won't openly admit to watching Dynamite, Bray Wyatt had no qualms about doing so. In all fairness to the former WWE Champion, this week's show featured two of his former tag team partners. Judging by Wyatt's reaction to the show, it's the departure of Lee that has hit him the hardest. "It's just me and Rowan now..." Wyatt tweeted along with a gif of a boy bursting into tears.

Wyatt later acknowledged that Braun Strowman was also a part of the Wyatt Family once upon a time, although considering The Monster's controversial comments about indie wrestlers this week, it probably wouldn't hurt Wyatt to distance himself from Braun right now. As for Lee and Hardy, the newest chapters of their wrestling careers have officially begun. Both have left WWE and considering the way Lee was treated/Hardy's age, they may never return.
